Because our family had a long line of rulers throughout history, lineage records were kept leading all the way to the prophet Noah (pbuh)...
The prophet Noah had 3 sons, Sam, Ham, and Japheth (Yafeth)
For example in my case:
I am Samer < Osman < Wajih < Osman < Abdulgheni Efendi < Omar Agha < Mohamad Agha < Ahmad < Suleyman < Hayrieh < Sadik < Abdi Pasha < Mohamad < Banu < Prince Piri Mehmet Pasha < Prince Halil < Prince Davud < Prince Ibrahim < Sheikh Ramadan < Yuregir < Dag Han < Oguz Han < ... < Buz (or Bid) < Togarmah < Gomer < Japheth < Prophet Noah (pbuh)
I also happen to be a descendant from Kupad Pasha (Brother of Piri Mehmet Pasha) from the Males side.
The name Turkey comes from Togramah the Great Grand Son of Prophet Noah (pbuh), and other sons of Gomer make up the original French and Spanish populations (The GAULS).
Our family embraced Islam in the 10th Century, and many of our forefathers married foremothers of noble Arabian blood, descendants from Zein Al-Abideen and Sowrd of Allah Khaled Bin Al-Waleed (RAA).
