Missing Ottoman Archives 1307 Hijri Ramazanoglu Family Tree

This blog maybe a big bomb shell for many... and it is one of the missing links.

I inherited a copy of this tree from Beirut family historian Sherif Ramadan, but oddly in 2012, during my research and visit to the Adana Vakifleri Mudurulu who lists the 220 descendants names of the Huge Ramazaniglu Vakifleri, they had no records of it, telling me everything was burnt in Adana, yet they were surprised that I had a copy.

Also, there was no records of any Ramazanoglu before 1870!  The year that matches the Generation of missing Ramazanoglus (most likely those who fled Adana for their lives).

Translated version of the Ottoman Archives 1307 Hijri Tree found by Samer Ramazanoglu (Ramazanzade) during research in 2013.  With added notes and ? missing links... this was not intended to be a complete tree, and there may be more missing members not listed.

What was also very odd, is that during my visit, the officer that met with me at the Adana Vakifleri Mudurulu was very cooperative and welcoming and told me that I should add my name to the list of the beneficiaries, and was about to give me the list of 220 beneficiaries when I asked him to, but suddenly the officer decided to call what seemed a prominent persson in Adana and immediately all cooperation halted, and the office told me that I must speak with Dr. "G" and that the officer can no longer provide me with any additional information.

I asked myself, how can I prove that the tree I have is original if they burned Ottoman Records in Adana?

Well it seems that a copy was hidden in the Ottoman Archives among millions of documents, and those who burned it never thought it was there and the documents would be digitized for someone one day to find.  And during my hard research at the new Ottoman Archives in Kaghtane in Istanbul, Allah miraculously helped me find it within a court document.  Yurika, now we have the Tree that someone worked very hard to remove from history.

For example Mehmet Bey son of Ahmet son of Suleyman (matches Mehmet Agha father of Omar Agha who is also father of Yusuf, Abdulgheni and Amine who all moved to Beirut)... also Mustafa son of Osman Bey matches the Mustafa that many in Beirut are descendants of.

Throughout History, it seems some family members were forced out, like Kupad Pasha who was Emir of the Ramazanogullari Beyligi then became Vali of Rumelli and his brother Piri Mehmet Pasha became the Emir.  Also Piri Mansur Pasha who had a malicious coup and revolt planned against him forcing him to flee with his children... I am very interested in finding their descendants - and with any records any one might have, or any stories told by the elders.

Kupad Pasha's sons kept the last name Ramazanzade as it is a rule in Islam (as stated by the Koran) to maintain family names form the father's side, other descendants from Grand Daughters maintained the last names of their Fathers (this prior to the family names changes of 1936 and later amended in 1938).  For example, there is evidence suggesting my lineage to Kupad Pasha as well as Piri Mehmet Pasha, and this is not unusual because Ramazanoglus used to often marry from within the family.

Recently, I also found the family tree of the long lost Ibrahim son of Piri, who many family members don't know what happened to him as it seemed he simply just vanished.  Many of us in Beirut seem connected to it as well.  Also Darvish Pasha was another son of Piri Mehmet Pasha.  In my research I discovered that in the early 1900s there was a strong effort to find and kill many Ramadans in Syria and to destroy any document they might have from their family history, it seems that a few elders had found a way to secretly keep important documents, for the right time to make them surface.

I was delighted to know that numerous family members are looking and digging for their past, I was not alone.

I need everyone's help around the world and in Turkey to see if they can track their roots to the removed descendants.  I was recently told that after the Ramazanzade last name became illegal to use that some family members chose Aras as a last name.  I need to find those lost cousins.
