New Found Ramazanzade Cousins

HISHAM WAJIH RAMADAN meets cousin FAYEZ ADEL RAMADAN for the first time!

In my constant search for sons of Ramadan, Ramazan, Ramazanzade, or Ramazanoglu, I am delighted to have found an amazing family branch in Saudi Arabia.

Apparently during the early part of the 20th century, Adel son of Bahjat son of Mahmoud Bey son of Abdulgheni Efendi Ramadanzade (the latter being my Great Great Grand Father) has traveled to Saudi Arabia as an expert in farming and became a Saudi Citizen.

The elder Adel passed away (Allah Yerhamu) but not after having 4 sons and two daughters who were born and grew up in Saudi Arabia.  They remained in Saudi Arabia and married and had children and grand children and somehow were cut-off from the rest and very few people knew of them.

As I researched to update the family tree, I learned that Adel had lived in Saudi Arabia and had for sons Fayez, Jihad, Mohammad and Ziad.  I searched and I was lucky to locate cousin Fayez (who is the Director of Civil Aviation at Saudi Arabian Airlines), who was pleasantly surprised with my contact as both our Grand Fathers are first cousins.  Both family branches were delighted to have found one another.

My Uncle Hisham traveled to do Umrah a few days ago, and cousin Fayez went to Makkah to meet with him.  To my delight, the two hit-it off and it was apparent that they shared blood.  Notice how they have the same eyes! That same evening cousin Fayez sent me this picture from Makkah Al-Moukarramah - the bold man (after completing Umrah) is uncle Hisham Wajih Ramadan and next to him is cousin Fayez.

May Allah makes more of such meetings happen between various family members across the globe.  For nothing pleases me more than seeing such pictures as the fruits of my efforts to reunite the family.

    3. Dear all,
It is pretty interesting site and the efforts of all is very valuable to trace back our origin. I know that our cousins tried to form some sort of club of union of the Ramadanis some 20 years ago but I think due to the war and other factors it was not much successful. What I know from my Father Abdul Aziz Ramadan that, in Lebanon, the Family has three branches, one in Beirut, the second in Barja El-Chouf and the third in Srifa or Blad in South Lebanon. I am from Barja's Branch and my name is Omar Abdul Aziz Maarouf Saleem Abdul Rahman Ramadan. I think my great great grandfather came from Beirut in the 1800's. Now, the family in Barja is more than 1500 people and it is considered relatively one of the largest families in Town.
Again, you should be thanked for this effort. I think it is a nice try to go back to origin and know our ancestors. Regards to all.
